The ramen was incredibly flavorful, delightfully garlic-y, and had a spicy kick. Additionally, we added ginger, garlic, and sesame seeds on top of the dish. We got a the spicy vegan dan dan men ramen, and paired the dish with a melograno & arancia Sanpellegrino beverage. Customers can opt to customize their own bowls with a vast variety of broths, toppings and noodle options or can order Jinya's specialties. Upon ordering, my friendly server politely informed me of any cross-contamination possibilities to accustom my dietary preferences. Jinya also features several vegan and vegetarian options. With a variety of Japanese rice bowls, ramen, and salads, customers of Jinya are met with a pleasantly varied selection. Jinya Ramen's lofty view above Hollywood Boulevard is only a precursor to the delicious food thats awaits customers inside. I‘m glad I went and enjoyed the food, but with the price point I don’t think I’ll go back very frequently. The above won’t fill two of you but will leave you satisfied that you tried Nobu and cost you about $150. For dessert a bread pudding - bites of toasted bread with thyme with strawberries and milk. We had Nobu staples - the Yellowtail Jalapeño (6 thin slivers of fish in yuzu soy sauce and topped with a slice of jalapeño on top) which was tangy and buttery smooth with a moderate kick the Miso Cod (great silky texture with a sharp but sweet sauce) Salmon Yuzu Karashi Su Miso (which was six small slices of fish in a tart sauce) and the Golden Eye Snapper nigiri (which I learnt from a Vox interview with Nobu is his favourite). There’s two lists - “classic” items which you’ll find at every Nobu and dishes tailored to the locale called “now”. Our waiter was patient and serviced with a smile, which I always appreciate. For first timers there’s two ways to go - a $200 tasting menu (Omakase) or tell the well-trained waiter your tastes and preferences and he’ll recommend a course of dishes. The dim lighting and wood panelling makes for a good ambience but noticed the table was frayed at one edge. Skip the $10 valet, there was enough parking on the street. Had to make a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a weekday. The quality and taste of the food, the amazing and impeccable staff and service you receive, the low key, but chill upbeat mood of the restaurant makes this place one of the best dining experiences you could ever experience in the world. Everyone there loves their job and strives to create an unforgettable dining experience. Nobu is some of the best food you will ever taste in the world. Appetizers, sushi, hot main dishes, vegetarian options, desserts, to drink concoctions will set the bar for your food standards. Right when you think a course is impossible to beat, the next one comes out topping the last. The food here is so innovative and even if almost every sushi restaurant in the world tries to mimic their recipes, it simply does not compare to the creators of these intricate and multi-faceted dishes. They also have a lot of the original employees from when Nobu restaurants first opened that make sure that it's ran at an impeccable standard. Every Nobu location has something unique to offer, but the La Cienega location is hands down the best food wise in comparison.
